I've attended 3 Pilates classes and can already feel the difference in my strength. After 6 months of neurorehabilitation I was advised to join Pilates by my physiotherapist to continue to improve my strength. Although it was nerve racking starting from beginners level, this class is suitable for all abilities. Even on weeks when I have felt significantly weaker or struggled to keep up due to muscle weakness caused by my condition, Jonny has checked in on me and motivated me to keep going. I do not train with Jonny directly but I do use his videos to help with my mobility. I struggle with ankle and hip mobility- where his videos have given me some alternative exercises to try in addition to traditional stretching. I have watched Jonny with his PT clients when I have occasionally trained in myo muscle. I love to see how he focuses on strength, form and mobility within them.

I was asked recently why I have PT sessions instead of just turning up at the gym to workout. My answer was simple. Jonny is the reason I turn up as he encourages me on ok days, motivates and pushes me on good days and has given me the confidence to walk into a gym after 30 years, many failed diets, aching joints, tendinitis and low self esteem and prove to myself I can and not I can’t. Enlisted jonny as a coach after injuring my back during deadlifts & having pain in the Hip during sit ups, benching various exercises. Jonny coached me tweaks in my squat and deadlift technique which not only had prevented further injury has gave my a process to follow before each lift & helped increase strength. During another session we focused on mobility, mainly around the pelvic/hip. Went the exercises to give a greater range of mobility and ease pressure on the area. Again since following the guidance pain found during sit ups bench etc has not came back. In conclusion I found Jonny to be very knowledgeable and explained each process before the exercise this give me the knowledge to carry out the exercises on my own.
